Biography

Magnus Baumgartl is a versatile pianist with international concert activity.

His musical training began at the age of eight at the music school in his hometown of Oberkochen. Early on, he had his first performances and engagements, where his exceptional talent quickly attracted attention – the step into a professional career was a natural progression.

 

He completed his piano studies at the Trossingen University of Music under Prof. Ákos Hernádi (major) and Mechthild Großmann (piano pedagogy), graduating with top marks. Since April 2024, he has continued his artistic training in a master's program at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin under Prof. Konrad Maria Engel.

 

He also received formative artistic impulses in masterclasses with Prof. Noam Sivan (piano improvisation), Prof. Thomas Hell, and Prof. Michail Lifts. His training is complemented by intensive self-study in music history, music theory, and pedagogy, which significantly shapes his holistic musical approach.

 

Magnus Baumgartl boasts an exceptionally broad concert experience: his repertoire ranges from classical solo recitals and stylish event performances to modern show formats. As an ocean pianist, he regularly performs on the luxury ships of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, bringing his music to international stages around the globe.

 

In addition, he regularly performs for Dreamlight Concerts, where he presents anime and film music in specially arranged piano concertos, captivating a steadily growing audience. His music also resonates strongly online – his videos have garnered over 10 million views on YouTube.
