Why are you the right piano teacher for me?

It's important to me that you enjoy playing the piano and learning! Therefore, I teach the content in a very intuitive and practical way, so you can make music right from day one. The pieces played and the material taught are tailored to your personal preferences. I am well-versed in all styles: classical, jazz, pop, rock, film music, video game music, musicals, etc. I will teach you the necessary tools so that you can play the music you enjoy and freely express yourself in music.

I'll also address your needs in a targeted manner, provide feedback, suggest new repertoire, teach you exercises that will take your playing technique to the next level, and expand your perception of music with the help of vivid images, moods, and emotions. True to the motto "Making music means feeling music!"

How often do classes take place?

Lessons take place once a week. For more intensive work, I also offer two sessions per week. This is especially recommended for preparing for concerts, competitions, or entrance exams.

How long does a lesson last?

In der Regel dauert eine Session 45 Minuten. Ich biete aber auch 60 oder 90 Minuten für intensiveres Lernen an. Dies ist vor allem zur Vorbereitung auf Konzerte, Wettbewerbe oder Aufnahmeprüfungen empfehlenswert.

Do you teach children and young people?

I believe that music education should be a natural part of growing up. That’s why I enjoy teaching both children and teenagers. With experience ranging from young beginners to older students, I know how to respond to different learning styles and developmental needs.

Do you also teach adults?

Of course! It doesn't matter whether you played as a child and want to start again, or whether you have no previous musical experience at all. It's never too late to start (again)! The hardest part is overcoming your inner laziness. So, let's tackle it together !

Are there holidays?

Accepted Answer

Unlike most music schools, I usually offer lessons during school holidays and on public holidays. This is excepted during the Christmas period (December 24th - January 1st) and for four weeks in the summer (August or September). If you are unable to attend on a public holiday, we will reschedule the session.

Since I'm occasionally on tour for several weeks at a time, we may have to reschedule lessons during this time. However, we will plan alternative dates well in advance.

How much do the piano lessons cost?

That's no problem at all! We'll start from scratch together, and I'll teach you all the basics. You'll be able to make music from day one!

How much time should I spend practicing?

That depends entirely on your personal ambitions and the time you have available. If you want to play the piano as a hobby and see it as a nice way to unwind from your everyday life, I recommend setting aside about 30 minutes a day for practice to achieve long-term, consistent success.

If you're really serious about preparing for a concert, competition, or music school entrance exam, you'll obviously need to plan more time for practicing. I recommend at least two hours a day, depending on your goal.
